
A Michigan woman started her holiday weekend off in grand fashion by winning $500,000 after playing the Michigan Lottery's Triple Bonus Cashword instant game.
The woman, who is a resident of Oakland County opted to remain anonymous her winnings up Friday, May 26 at the Lottery headquarters in Lansing. The 47-year-old said she plans to invest in her retirement with her winnings.
"I was in disbelief when I scratched the ticket off," she told lottery officials, according to a news release. All I could think was: 'What am I supposed to do?'
"It feels great to win, this takes so much pressure off of my shoulders."
The woman bought her $10 instant ticket at the 7-Eleven store at 110 E. Commerce Road in Commerce Township.
