Narendra Modi-Donald Trump Bilateral Meeting Concludes

During the bilateral meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Donald Trump, India’s PM said that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Petronet LNG and the United States.

Narendra Modi, while addressing the media, said:

As far as trade (India-US trade) is concerned, I'm happy that our Petronet signed an MoU of US$ 2.5 billion investment in the energy sector.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Donald Trump met at the sidelines of the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Talking on the issue of trade, President Trump Modi said:

We will have a trade deal very soon. I am thankful to Trump that he came to Houston. He is my friend but he is also a good friend of India.

The meeting between Narendra Modi and Donald Trump comes days after prime minister addressed a mega rally ‘Howdy Modi!’ with the Indian diaspora present in large numbers in Houston. Both the leaders expressed contentment at meeting each other again on Tuesday.
