Due to Extreme Cold State of Michigan Offices, Legislature Closed On Wednesday

As the Extreme Cold Grips the State Of Michigan, Offices and legislature will remain close On Wednesday.

“Due to the emergency weather conditions impacting the state of Michigan, all state government offices will be closed on Wednesday, January 30, 2019,” a notice posted on the State’s website.

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer signed an order declaring a state of emergency anhead of expected subzero temps.

State of emergency Operations Center to coordinate response efforts are activated.

Public should understand the seriousness of what is going on she termed as once in a generation cold snap

“All Michiganders are encouraged to stay inside as the temperature continues to drop,”said Whitmer in a press release

“If you must leave, make sure you layer uo, wear the warmest clothes you have, cover your mouth, and try to limit your time out of your home.For your safety and the safety of our first responders, do not take unnecessary risks.”

Wind chill factors may even drop to as low as negative 45 degrees from Tuesday night through Thursday morning.

The university of Michigan and Michigan State University and all other schools have canceled classes.
