India to roll out 6G by 2030: Narendra Modi

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi revealed that India will roll out a 6G telecom network by the end of 2030 and it would provide ultra high speed internet connectivity. The nation has 3G and 4G networks currently and 5G is expected to be launched in the next few months. Narendra Modi made these comments during the silver jubilee event of telecom sector regulator TRAI. The roll out of 5G will add 450 billion USD to the economy of the country told Narendra Modi. Along with increasing the internet speed, the roll out of 5G will create enough number of jobs. "5G will bring a positive change in the country's governance along with ease of doing business and ease of living. It will also boost the fields of health, education, agriculture, logistics and infrastructure" told Modi.

"The connectivity will decide the progress of the country in this 21st century and we will have a chance to witness the modern-day infrastructure. A task force started working on 6G that will roll by the end of the decade. The Congress government was into 2G scam which was a major corruption. Now, the nation is moving transparently with 4G and 5G. 5G is an important step of the country" told Modi. Union Telecom Minister Ashwani Vaishnaw told that the 5G stack is all set to be deployed and it is in an advanced stage. "Reforms will be carried out at the spectrum management arm of Department of Telecom Wireless Planning Commission in this month" told Ashwani Vaishnaw.
