Realme has introduced the Realme Buds Air 8 Pro in India, alongside the Realme 16T and Realme Watch S5. These new true wireless stereo earphones come with a dual-driver sound system, support for LHDC 5.0 high-resolution wireless audio, and feature adaptive active noise cancellation. The earbuds also come with a six-microphone system for calls, Bluetooth 6.1 connectivity, and special features for gaming with low lag. Additionally, the Buds Air 8 Pro offer IP55-rated resistance to dust and water, support for wear detection, quick charging options, and up to 50 hours of total battery life. In India, the Realme Buds Air 8 Pro are priced at Rs. 6,999. The company mentions that customers can receive a Rs. 300 discount during the launch. The earbuds are available in two colors: Master White and Master Black.
The first sale will take place starting at 12pm IST on June 3 and end at 11:59pm IST on June 5. The Realme Buds Air 8 Pro can be purchased through Flipkart, Amazon, Myntra, Realme.com, and various offline stores across India.
The Realme Buds Air 8 Pro include a coaxial dual-driver audio setup that has an 11mm dynamic bass driver and a 6mm micro-planar tweeter. According to Realme, these earbuds have a frequency response from 20Hz to 40kHz, allowing for good sound quality across low, mid, and high ranges. Each earbud contains three microphones, creating a total of six microphones for calling. Realme claims this configuration enhances voice clarity while minimizing background noise during conversations. The Buds Air 8 Pro also feature adaptive ANC, which can reduce noise by as much as 55dB. There is a Transparency Mode that enables users to hear ambient sounds without taking the earbuds out. Moreover, a specialized Voice Processing Unit based on bone-conduction technology aims to improve voice capture during calls. According to the company, this setup can diminish environmental noise by up to 90dB while also providing AI-driven noise cancellation and adaptive audio enhancement to ensure clearer discussions.
For gaming, the Realme Buds Air 8 Pro have a special Game Mode that reduces lag to as low as 45ms. These earbuds are also equipped with Bluetooth 6.1, support for LHDC 5.0 Hi-Res wireless sound quality, can connect to two devices at once, and have a wear detection feature that automatically plays or pauses music. Additionally, they offer personalized pairing notifications on compatible Realme smartphones and are compatible with Google Fast Pair for Android devices. The Realme Buds Air 8 Pro includes smart touch controls for playing media, managing calls, adjusting volume, and toggling between ANC and Transparency Mode. They can also receive OTA firmware updates and work with voice assistants. Each Buds Air 8 Pro earbud is powered by a 62mAh battery, while the charging case contains a 590mAh battery. The earbuds are claimed to provide up to 12 hours of listening time on one charge and a total of 50 hours with the charging case, which features a USB Type-C port. Realme mentions that a 10-minute charge can give up to 11 hours of playback. Both the earbuds and the charging case can be charged fully in about two hours, while placing the earbuds in the case takes roughly one hour to charge.
The Realme Buds Air 8 Pro have an IP55 rating, meaning they are protected against dust and water. Each earbud weighs around 4.8g, and together with the charging case, the total weight is about 53g.
