The Mobile World Congress (MWC 2026) is planned to start on March 2 and will continue until March 5. Over these four days, many smartphone brands and technology companies will present their latest products and innovations. Before MWC 2026 kicks off, several Chinese companies, such as Xiaomi and Honor, will also introduce new devices to the world. Honor has recently announced that its Magic V6 foldable phone and Robot Phone, which includes a pop-out camera, will be launched globally one day before the event begins. Additionally, the Chinese smartphone company has revealed that these phones will come with a humanoid robot. In a post on X, the tech firm from China shared that it will present its first AI-enabled humanoid robot on March 1, the day before MWC 2026 starts, in Barcelona, Spain. Honor stated, “We’ve merged advanced robotics with the best mobile experience. ” While much about this robot is still a secret, the company has released a video with the announcement which shows the drone's design.
The humanoid robot seems to have a visor located on its forehead, possibly containing a camera to help it dodge obstacles while also enabling it to respond to questions about its surroundings and carry out actions based on the context. The face of Honor's first humanoid robot will have a hollow design covered by a glass panel. The branding "alpha," which is also found on the Honor Robot Phone, will be displayed on the back of the humanoid robot, as seen on the company's webpage. Similar to other humanoid robots, it will have a complete set of limbs, enabling it to navigate and interact with other objects in its environment. Honor is likely to provide more information about the new device in the upcoming weeks. This announcement comes right after the company declared that it will reveal the new Honor Magic V6 and Robot Phone at MWC Barcelona 2026 on March 1. Honor plans to hold the ‘AI Device Ecosystem Era' presentation from 1pm to 2pm CET (12:30am to 1:30am IST) on that day. While the Magic V6 will be a foldable mobile device, the Robot Phone is expected to have a pop-out camera on its back.
