The flying fish Michael Phelps, who has been participating in the events at the Arena Pro Swim Series in Mesa, Ariz after serving a ban of six-months, has secured a typical victory in 100 freestyle category where he was at last in the beginning and came first by over taking Ryan Lochte and Conor Dwyer.

"As soon as I was underwater I just started kicking and one of the kicks I just felt something different that I hadn't felt before," Phelps told Fox Sports. "I don't know if that was the switching gear in knowing how to race again or what. I haven't felt that switch in anything."

He won the race in 49.72 seconds, while Lochte finished with a time of 49.77, and fellow Olympian Conor Dwyer finished in 50.02 for third place.

The 18 Olympic gold medals winner won 100 butterfly, finished third in the 200 individual medley, but didn't make the final in the 400 free during the four-day competition in Arizona. He may not be appearing at the 2015 FINA World Championship in Russia, despite of the end to ban as part of his punishment prohibits him.
