Indian woman Murdered Near a Park in SydneyTop Stories

A Woman, who is expecting her visit to India in April, was stabbed to death in Westmead, a suburb in Sydney. While the unknown person stabbing her with a knife, she was on the phone conversation reportedly with her husband, who is in India. She "He stabbed me, darling," she told husband Arun Kumar.

Prabha Arun Kumar is an IT consultant working with Mindtree, was stabbed to death just 300m from her home near Parramatta Park. The mother of one was found by a man lying in a large pool of blood. She was taken to Westmead Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Police are enquiring the horrific attack. The scene has been examined by specialist forensic officers.

41-year-old Bengaluru-origin IT consultant usually go on foot after arriving at Parramatta train station at 9pm, according to her flatmate and friends. She has taken a short-cut route via the park lane where the suspects stop and demand money.

According to some media reports, she requested the attacker to leave her by taking all from her. The attack on the woman is raising new doubts over the security for Indians, as many Indians were attacked in 2010. However, it is yet to be investigated to know who stabbed her.
